Basileus Message

I greet you in the name of the Supreme Basileus of the Universe. It is through Him that I draw my strength and guidance.  On behalf of the Men of the Undaunted Upsilon Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., I would like to welcome you and thank you for visiting our website.

Since 1961, Upsilon Tau Chapter has continuously focused our cumulative gifts and talents on improving the quality of life of African-Americans as well as the underserved, and the indigent in the Mid-Hudson Valley New York community. The fraternity’s Cardinal Principles are our core values and the substratum by which we are guided as men committed to the organization’s expectations.  We are focusing on ensuring that we are above reproach in the areas of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift; and with the assistance of the Upsilon Tau Foundation we have targeted supporting those outliers who are often marginalized by the established.   It is our aim to make you feel welcome, respected and well served!

The Brothers of Upsilon Tau Chapter will continuously work with due diligence to ensure that your experience with us is memorable, enjoyable and informative. We have placed information on this website to inform and educate our visitors about our ‘Undaunted’ chapter here in Mid-Hudson Valley Region of New York. Through this site we will apply our endeavor that in order to gain a friend, we must first show ourselves friendly.

As Basileus, I appreciate the Brothers of Upsilon Tau for their resolute efforts in support of the chapter's mission and objectives. Many of the tasks ahead of us will require time and won’t all be easy, but as Omega Men we always “See It Through” when met with a challenge face to face! I have complete confidence in the brothers of Upsilon Tau Chapter to continue leading by example, serving our community, and honoring your commitment by living your creed.

In 2020, we are gearing up to celebrate 60 years of service in the Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan and Ulster Counties.  During its enduring and eventful history, this chapter has served Omega and the Mid-Hudson Valley communities with distinction and proudly sets an example for others to follow.

It is my hope that you will support our efforts as we continue our mission of being a pillar within this brilliant region. If you would like to get involved, please contact us.

Again, welcome to all to our website.
